Design and First Flight

The Bernard 190T transport aircraft was an enlarged and improved redesign of the Bernard 18T. Designed by Jean Galtier, the prototype F-AIXX made its first flight in the spring of 1928. This model represented a significant upgrade from its predecessor.

Features and Capacity

The Bernard 190T featured an enlarged cabin capable of accommodating eight passengers. It also included an enclosed crew cockpit positioned forward of the wing leading edges, and redesigned tail surfaces. These enhancements optimized both aerodynamics and passenger comfort.

Construction and Production

It retained a wooden construction and high cantilever wings. However, it was powered by a 480 hp Gnome-Rhone 9 Ady Jupiter radial engine, providing increased performance. The total production of this model reached only eight aircraft.
