Bernard 197GR

In 1929, the last representative of the Bernard 190 family was unveiled: the Bernard 197GR transport aircraft. It was specifically commissioned by the Société des Moteurs Lorraine company to demonstrate its Lorraine-Dietrich engine.
The Genesis of the Bernard 197GR
On February 18, 1929, it took part in an 11,000-kilometer flight to Saigon. However, the aircraft was forced to make a premature landing on the final leg of the journey, immediately after taking off from Rangoon on February 26.
