Bf-110 Losses on the Eastern Front in 1941
Introduction to Luftwaffe Losses Research
Dear readers! This work is actually part of two extensive reference books detailing Luftwaffe losses (and, partially, those of their allies) on the Soviet-German Front between 1941 and 1943. These comprehensive reference books are the product of meticulous processing of original materials sourced directly from the German Military Archive, ensuring historical accuracy.
Publication Delays and Online Release
It was initially projected that the first two volumes, specifically focusing on the losses of Bf-110 heavy fighters and Fw-189 reconnaissance aircraft, would be released to the public as early as 2005. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances beyond the control of the authors, the publication of these crucial historical records has been postponed indefinitely.
Consequently, we have made the decision to publish a portion of the statistics derived from these reference books directly on the Internet. We believe there is no benefit in withholding such valuable, prepared materials from researchers and enthusiasts alike. Our team is also nearing completion of a reference guide for Ju-87 dive bomber losses on the Eastern Front, with similar research planned for the iconic “Aunt Ju” Ju-52.
