Bleriot 137

Design and Development
The Bleriot 137 was a multi-purpose, all-metal high-wing monoplane bomber, developed as an evolution from the earlier Bleriot 127/2 bomber. This design represented a significant step in the manufacturer’s lineup.
A distinctive feature of the Bleriot 137 was its unique gunner’s station. Two gunner cabins were situated side-by-side in the mid-fuselage, specifically located at the wing’s trailing edge, immediately behind a wide cutout.
Variants and First Flights
Two Bleriot 137 aircraft were constructed. The first prototype, designated Bleriot 137 M0, was powered by 500 hp Hispano-Suiza 12Nb engines and made its maiden flight on December 21, 1930.
Several months later, the second variant, the Bleriot 137 M1, emerged. This version featured 500 hp Salmson 18Ab engines. While maintaining similar overall dimensions to its predecessor, the Bleriot 137 incorporated more angular wing and stabilizer outlines.
