The Breguet Colibri: An Innovative Design
In 1924, Louis Breguet constructed the Breguet Colibri, a light sport aircraft. This single-seater, mid-wing monoplane featured mixed construction and was powered by a 12 hp Sergant four-cylinder engine, equipped with a two-bladed pulling propeller.
Participation in the Grand Prix
The sole example of this aircraft took part in the Grand Prix de la Moto-aviette competition in July 1923. However, on the fourth lap, the machine withdrew from the race due to ignition problems.
