C-202 Halcon

Primarily designed for use on Spain’s domestic airlines, the CASA C-202 Halcon aircraft made its first flight in May 1953. Subsequently, 20 such aircraft were ordered.

Key Features of the Halcon

The Halcon was generally similar to the Alcotan aircraft but was larger in size. It featured a tricycle landing gear, a cockpit for a three-person crew, and a 14-passenger cabin, which was both heated and air-conditioned. Production Halcon aircraft were supplied to the Spanish Air Force under the designation T.6.

Variants and Military Service

In 1956, a modification of the aircraft, designated C-202B Halcon, was released. This variant was equipped with two nine-cylinder, air-cooled Wright Cyclone R-1820-56 piston engines, each producing 1300 hp.
