Cessna Citation CJ1

The Cessna 525 Citation CJ1 is an administrative aircraft, a light business jet, developed by the American firm Cessna Aircraft Company. The CJ1 was first demonstrated at the NNBA conference in October 1998 in Las Vegas, as “the market demanded new technologies and additional capabilities.”

This aircraft is a modification of the CitationJet, which was a sales leader in the light business jet market. Deliveries of the updated CJ1 began in the year 2000. While its design is similar to the CitationJet, it incorporates several significant innovations.

Advanced Avionics and Enhanced Features

A key new feature is the mandatory inclusion of the Collins Pro Line 21 avionics system. This system comprises two 8×10 inch adaptive flight displays, an HSI liquid crystal display, and an ADI display for the co-pilot.

It also integrates an AlliedSignal CNI-5000 radio, a Collins RTA-800 color weather radar, a Bendix/King KLN-900 FMS (Flight Management System), and a radio altimeter. Additionally, the CJ1 features an increased overall weight capacity of 90 kg.

Cabin Comfort and Design

The cabin layout of the Citation CJ1 is typical for small jets, focusing on essential amenities. In the rear of the cabin, there is a small lavatory that shares space with a wardrobe.

The baggage compartment is located in the tail section of the aircraft and is isolated from the main cabin, ensuring passenger comfort and privacy. A small mini-bar is also available in the cockpit for the crew.
