Richard Commuter

The Richard Commuter is a light multi-purpose aircraft developed by the American company C.H. Richard Company. The chief designer of the project and founder of the company was Charles H. Richard. This versatile aircraft was first introduced in 1969.

Initial Development: The Richard 125 Commuter

The first variant of the aircraft, the Richard 125 Commuter, was a two-seat, strut-braced high-wing monoplane. It was equipped with a four-cylinder Lycoming O-290G piston engine producing 125 hp (93 kW) and featured a two-blade propeller. Only one example of this aircraft was built, bearing the registration number N1732.

The Improved Version: The Richard 150 Commuter

In 1972, Charles Richard completed an improved version of the aircraft, the Richard 150 Commuter. This machine featured a wingspan extended by 1.54 meters and a more powerful Lycoming O-320-A2A engine, delivering 150 hp. Like the first Commuter, this aircraft also remained a single example, registered as N2367.
