Breda A.8

The A.8 was a night bomber developed by the Italian firm Breda. This aircraft served as an improved modification of the Breda A.3 night bomber, which had been released in 1924. Its design aimed to enhance operational capabilities for nocturnal missions.
Development and Initial Features
The aircraft’s maiden flight, initially equipped with two 400 hp Lorraine engines, occurred in 1927. These engines were soon replaced with two more powerful 500 hp Asso units, in an effort to boost performance.
Testing and Fate
However, tests of the aircraft revealed a number of shortcomings and only mediocre flight characteristics. Consequently, only a single prototype of the A.8 was ever produced, marking the end of its development.
