Advanced Development and Avionics

Announced in 1990, the Cessna 650 Citation VII was a development of the Citation VI, featuring SPZ-8000 based avionics. This evolution aimed to offer superior performance and technology within the executive jet segment.

Enhanced Power and Performance

It was equipped with AlliedSignal TFE731-4R-2S turbofan engines, each providing 18.41 kN of thrust. These engines significantly increased the aircraft’s cruising speed, rate of climb, and service ceiling.

With this improvement, the flight range with six passengers also saw an enhancement, extending to 4111 km, substantially boosting its operational capabilities for longer flights.

Production and Certification Milestones

The prototype conducted its first flight in February 1991. Official certification for the model was completed in January 1992, and just three months later, deliveries of the production aircraft began to customers, marking its entry into service.
