JH Aircraft Corsair

The German company JH Aircraft GmbH was established in January 2016 in Hamburg. The following year, the first prototype of the light multi-purpose aircraft, the JH Aircraft Corsair, was already manufactured. It was designed to meet SSDR and FAR 103 regulations. It’s easy to see what inspired the creators of this aircraft.

Undoubtedly, it was the legendary F4U Corsair. The Corsair was first showcased at the Aero 2017 exhibition in Friedrichshafen. Its maiden flight took place in the summer of the following year.

Design and Technical Specifications

The aircraft is a single-seat, all-composite, cantilever low-wing monoplane. It is equipped with a 42 hp (31 kW) four-stroke, three-cylinder radial Verner Scarlett 3VW engine. It features a three-bladed Hi-Tech Carbon Propeller from E-Props.

Acquisition Options

The Corsair is available as a finished product, priced between 58,500 and 69,615 euros (2020 prices). It can also be purchased as a self-assembly kit for 31,900 euros, or as a quick-build kit for 34,500 euros. In the USA, the aircraft is sold by SportairUSA under the brand Corsair 103.
