Castellani-Bernasconi Monoplane

In 1912, Italian aviation enthusiasts Achille Castellani and Bernasconi constructed a light auxiliary aircraft with a specific goal in mind. Their intention was to enter it into the First Military Aviation Competition, scheduled to take place in Mirafiori in 1913.

Design and Purpose

The aircraft was named the Castellani-Bernasconi Monoplane. It was designed as a single-seater, braced monoplane, conceived to serve as a support aircraft. The machine was built with aspirations of military adoption.

Testing and Evaluation

The monoplane successfully completed its testing cycle and even received positive feedback from the Military Commission. Despite this favorable reception, the project regrettably did not receive further development. Its promising start unfortunately did not lead to subsequent production or implementation.
