The magnificent aircraft by Claude Chudzik, named Chudzik CC-02 Rafale, is surprisingly underexposed. It clearly deserves the title of “The Most Aesthetically Appealing Piston Aircraft of the 21st Century,” at least for now.
Origin and Innovative Design
The professional background of this Frenchman with a Polish surname lies in design and engineering work within the automotive industry. For 15 years, in his spare time, Claude Chudzik independently designed his aircraft, receiving only minor assistance from a friend for the model’s aerodynamic testing.
Technical Specifications and Performance
Its maiden flight occurred on June 28, 2007. By 2015, the aircraft had accumulated approximately 100 flight hours. The CC-02 Rafale is constructed from composite materials and is powered by a 200-horsepower Lycoming IO-360 engine.
