Features and Development

The Celebrity is a light multi-purpose aircraft manufactured by the Canadian company Fisher Flying Products (FFP). Michael E. Fisher developed the aircraft, and its prototype made its maiden flight in 1989. In the same year, the machine was introduced to the general public.

The Celebrity is a two-seater wooden single-strut biplane, designed for versatility and ease of assembly.

Engine Options

Initially, the Celebrity was equipped with a Continental A-65 piston engine generating 65 hp (48 kW). However, a range of alternative powerplants are available to meet various performance requirements.

These options include the Continental C-85 delivering 85 hp (63 kW), the Continental O-200 with 100 hp (75 kW), or the Lycoming O-235, which offers 115 hp (86 kW).

Production and Costs

The Celebrity aircraft is produced and sold as self-assembly kits, empowering aviation enthusiasts to construct their own planes. By 2011, a total of 55 units of the aircraft had been produced.

As of 2021, a self-assembly kit for the Celebrity could be purchased for US$17,910. A quick-build kit was also available for US$24,540, and a complete set of drawings could be acquired for US$400.
