Leonard K. “Kit” Carson was born in Clearlake, Iowa. He flew with the 8th Air Force in Great Britain, piloting a “Mustang”.
During his service, Carson completed an impressive total of 115 combat missions.
Combat Record
He is credited with 18.5 enemy aircraft shot down in aerial combat, plus 3.5 aircraft destroyed on the ground. Leonard K. “Kit” Carson survived the war.
