Origins and Development
In 1926, Aeronautica Caproni released a modernized version of the Ca.72ter bomber. The following year saw the introduction of two more versions of the aircraft, designed to meet different operational demands.
Specialized Variants
One of these was the transport version, designated Ca.82. The other was the Ca.82Co. (coloniale) variant, specifically adapted for operation in the harsh conditions of Italy’s African colonies. These adaptations ensured its functionality in challenging environments.
The I-BARS Passenger Ca.82
The sole example of the Ca.82, bearing registration number I-BARS, was fitted with a passenger cabin designed for ten occupants. It featured two large windows on each side of the fuselage, offering panoramic views. Furthermore, for passenger convenience, the aircraft also included a lavatory.
